Scripture is loaded with verses proclaiming the Deity of Jesus, the christened One (Christ), or the anointed One. The following smattering of Scripture references --there are many more-- is submitted for your consideration regarding the Deity of Jesus. While it's true that no one ever recorded that Jesus at any time stood up and hollered that He was God, it is abundantly clear that He was...and is.
It's a sad commentary on the state of America today that a page such as this one even needs to be written. But the numbers of believers dwindle and the forces who want to make Jesus an "also ran" , having the same standing as Moses, Moham- med or Buddha, increase.
Only a generation or so ago we outnumbered 'em.
There is a direct relationship between ignorance about God and His Word-- submission to Him--and the condition of our nation today.

Period.
People will go to any length to avoid submitting to their Savior. They'll even start their own religions.
Isaiah 9:6 - the coming One, the Messiah, is called "the mighty God"
Hebrews 1:8-10 - Jesus is called God
John 1:1 - The Word was God
John 1:3 - He made all things (He was the Creator)
John 1:4 - In Him was life (self-existant)
John 1:10 - He made the world
John 3:13 - He came down from Heaven
John 5:18 - He said that God was His father, making Himself equal with God (Jews tried to stone Him)
John 5:26 - "As the Father has life in Himself," so does Jesus
John 8:58 - "Before Abraham was, I AM" . The Jews tried to stone Him for blasphemy.
John 10:30-33 - "I and the Father are one." The Jews tried to stone Him to death because He made Himself equal with God.
John 14:10 - "I am in the Father and the Father in me."
John 20:28 - Thomas worships Jesus saying, "My Lord and my God." Jesus does not rebuke him for this, as the angel did to John in the book of Revelation. Jesus accepts the worship.
Matthew 9:2-6, Mark 2:5-12, Luke 5:20-24 & 7:48 - Jesus forgives sins
Matthew 9:4, 12:25 - Jesus is omniscient (knows thoughts)
Matthew 25:31-33, John 5:22-23, Acts 10:42 & 2Corinthians 5:10 - Jesus is Judge of all
Matthew 28:20 - Jesus is omnipresent
Mark 1:27 - Jesus is omnipotent: Devils obey Him
Philippians 2:6 - Jesus thought equality with God was not a thing to be tightly held onto, but took on the form of a slave....
Colossians 1:16-17 - Jesus created all things
Colossians 2:9 - In Jesus dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily
Hebrews 1:2 - Jesus made the world
Hebrews 1:3 - Jesus is the brightness of God's glory, the express character of God.
Hebrews 13:8 - As is God, Jesus is unchanging
Titus 2:13 - Jesus is called the "Great God and our Savior" (Last I heard, there was some doubt as to the authenticity of this verse. Whether or not Paul actually wrote it, it still states truth.)
1Peter 3:21-22 - Angels, authorities, powers are made subject to Jesus
Revelation 1:17 - Jesus is "the first and the last" , which is Jehovah's description of Himself in Isaiah 44:6 and 48:12.
Revelation 21:5-6 & 22:12-13 - Both God and Jesus are called the "Alpha and Omega"
Philippians 2:10-11 - "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."
Compare this with Isaiah 45:22-23 where the same wording is used with reference to Jehovah.
Scripture is replete with references to God coming into the world to suffer and die for His creation, man. That is what's UNIQUE about Jesus and Christianity. All of paganism's gods are too "strong" to die vicariously. Ask any Hindu or other believer in any god but Jehovah. They laugh at our "weak" Jesus.
But the most attested fact of ancient history is the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. He has no memorial crypt because He didn't stay in it!
Those who disbelieve that Jesus is God-in-the-flesh have to explain what happened to Jesus' body. And while they're at it, explain how the devout enemy of Christianity and murderer of Christians, Saul of Tarsus, was converted to Christianity. He says it was by the resurrected Jesus.
These two historical facts, the resurrection of Jesus and the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, have converted everyone who has studied--and even tried to disprove--them. All it takes is a genuine search for the truth.
Jesus based all that He said and did on His resurrection. He predicted it. He showed Himself to his followers (and the unbeliever Saul) after He rose from the dead. There were plenty of witnesses to it. It had never been done before, and it has never been repeated.
Jesus is absolutely and unargueably UNIQUE. And He is the One who said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man comes unto the Father but by Me." (John 14:6) Strong words.
Jesus is NOT an "also ran". He is the Lord and our Savior. Our salvation.
May the Lord richly bless you, and may Jesus give you peace in believing.
