Now this great hand mill is even more useful! It is convertible with stones and burrs!
BurrsBurrs are preferred for grinding many things with your Little Ark mill that cannot be milled satisfactorily with stones due to moisture or oil content of the material being ground. The Little Ark burrs don’t rust. They are made from a very hard metal and give many years of dependable service. The burrs will grind flour, but usually not as finely as will stones. The Little Ark burrs work exceptionally well grinding soybeans, field beans, corn, rice, sesame seeds, millet, coffee beans, damp grains, etc.
StonesStones are preferred for grist milling the "finest" flours from wheat, rye, barley, oats, and other dry grains. The milling stones for the Little Ark are manufactured from superior quality material and a unique formation that produces an almost indestructible stone, resulting in a stone you should never have to replace due to wear.The Little Ark is easily motorized. It is manufactured of die-cast aluminum alloy for light-weight, high-strength construction. Two wide-stance bolt-down legs provide secure, no-fuss assembly and operation. (You supply bolts, and drill holes into counter. FYI, we have had a number of these units returned because, as customers stated—and as you can see in the picture—flour goes everywhere when you grind. In our opinion, the milling head is located too close to the base.)
