Has this ever happened to you? You've been in the woods for the last twelve hours tromping through the mud and the brush. You're hot and sweaty and in need of a shower and it's dinner time. The local Veggie Patch Mom and Pop restaurant sounds great! .... If only you didn't smell like something that should be on all fours still back in the woods. Guess it'll be soup and sandwiches in the trailer again ...
It is just this kind of situation that calls for a quick clean up, and that is where the guys at No-Rinse Laboratories came up with the perfect solution.

Since 1948, the No-Rinse line of cleaning solutions has been bringing relief to those who cannot enjoy the luxury of a shower. Whether you're on an outdoor adventure high in the Rockies, or three days into a week-long fishing tournament in the Gulf, or in mid-Pacific on that 'round-the-world sailing trip, you need to be able to freshen up, even if you can't take a hot shower.
These No-Rinse products are perfect for:
- Campers
- Backpackers
- Hikers
- Truckers
- Boaters
- Cyclists
- Climbers
- Fishermen
- Hunters
- Military
- Travelers
- Outdoor enthusiasts
- Professional Guides
- Disaster Preparedness
It's also a GREAT product for those confined to a wheelchair or bed, or otherwise incapacitated . . . or for children who are afraid of the water, or just plain don't want to take a bath or shower.
We decided to start carrying them after I tried the No-Rinse Shampoo. I thought, "There's no way this stuff can work!" But I was sure hoping it would.
See, I once worked at a place where (in my free time) I had to do repetitive bending to pick up a device, smash it open with a vice, and retrieve a little piece that looked like an aspirin tablet (a resonator, for the technically-minded). The boss had me do this to save the company money (Turned out they never re-used the resonator.) This useless work managed to mess up at least one disk in my back.
I'm not telling you this to get "Get Well" wishes from you (tho' prayers are always welcome!), but to explain why I sometimes dislike having to shower. There are times it is very painful to bend over to reach/wash my feet and legs. I'm OK for as far down as I can reach standing up. But the one-footed-monkey-leg-lift doesn't work so well, and the bend-at-the-waist-and-touch-your-toes is definitely out of the question. So, my precious shower, wherein I could shampoo my hair, was gradually turning into a torture chamber.
With No-Rinse products, the pain in my life has been greatly reduced! I can eliminate a couple of torture-chamber sessions a week. And I remain squeaky clean.
To prepare for the following photos, I forewent (past tense of forego??) showering/ shampooing for a week, using only No-Rinse Shampoo on Wednesday and Bathing Wipes the other days. (Since we don't want to get thrown off the Web for porn—or just-plain-sickening—photos, only the shampooing photos are being used. They were also the only ones taken.) I was hoping that the normal greasiness/oiliness of my hair after a prolonged period of not being shampooed would be photo- graphable. Looks like the No-Rinse Shampoo worked alittle too well, as my hair was not as greasy as it should have been, but I think you can still see the difference. (Yes, it WAS combed, as good as it can be combed when it's that dirty. The waves won't stay put!)
First pic is BEFORE. Next is in the shampooed state. Last is AFTER.

Had it not been Memorial Day weekend, I would have gotten a haircut before doing this. The longer your hair is, the more No-Rinse shampoo you need to use, just as in a shower shampoo. With my hair about an inch shorter than in the photos, I find that I can get 2 shampoos out of a 2 ounce bottle and 7 to 8 out of an 8 ounce bottle. (With my hair this length, it's cut back to about 6 shampoos.) Works out to about 40 to 50 cents per shampoo—about what you pay for a shower-shampoo when you consider the cost of the shampoo and the water. (Double or triple that cost for long hair.)

Hi Folks,
I found a use for the No Rinse shampoo that you haven't mentioned! I brought part of an 8 oz. bottle home when I was discharged from the hospital. It sat around for a while, and one day it was raining and my big coon-hound dog's coat was reeking to high heaven. He had needed a bath in the worst way for a couple of weeks. I saw the bottle of shampoo and thought, " What the heck?" So I poured what was left in dabs down the middle of his back & started lathering it up. Before long " Oso" was smelling as good as if he'd just been to Bowzer Baths in Boulder Creek, CA where we live. Thanks for carrying this great product. (I also use it on just my bangs, when the rest of my hair doesn't need a shampooing, or when I'm in a hurry) I'll be ordering the largest size pretty soon.
Best to you,
Jenna

If you buy No-Rinse by the Gallon, and refill your 2 or 8 ounce squirt bottle, you can get the cost down to under 20 cents per shampoo, including shipping! Now THAT'S a real bargain!
The No-Rinse Body Bath is the other product available in larger sizes. It is concentrated and is supposed to be diluted 1 ounce to one quart of water, apply with a wash cloth, and towel dry. The Body Wash is ready-to-use and lathers up like "real" soap. It towel dries, too.
The No-Rinse Bathing Wipes are very similar to the Quick Baths that we carried for over 3 years. The Bathing Wipes are the same size, 8" x 8" and are made of needle punched polypropylene/polyester/rayon blend. They work the same way and also come 8 to a pack. Everything I've written about the Quick Baths applies to them, including their thickness. Personally, I prefer the faint odor left by the Quick Baths, but smell, like taste, is a personal thing. I'm completely happy with the Bathing Wipes, and they ARE less expensive.
Like most of the products that we sell, you can try the smaller sizes for yourself and then stock up on what you like most and what works for you. No-Rinse products are a worthy addition to your glove compartment, suitcase, carry-on, office desk, sports bag, backpack, galley, storm cellar, cupboard or cabin getaway, you name it!
